Royal Oak Youth Assistance (ROYA) Parent PTA Evening
Workshop Host Julie Semivan, ROYA Board Member
Talk Early & Talk Often is a grassroots effort to give parents of middle school students the tools they need to talk to their children about the important issue of sexuality.
Parents are the primary sex educators of their children. When given the information and tools, they can be instrumental in providing critical messages to their children that can help them abstain from sexual intercourse and avoid HIV, sexually transmitted diseases, and early pregnancy.
The Talk Early & Talk Often workshop will assist parents who are looking for additional information and tools to help increase their comfort level in talking with their children on this important topic.
Where: Royal Oak Middle School
709 Washington, Royal Oak
When: Tuesday, April 24, 2012
7-9 pm
The mission of Royal Oak Youth Assistance is to strengthen youth and families, and to reduce the incidence of delinquency, abuse and neglect through community involvement.
